Galerie Petra Vankova and Artyčok.TV introduces the first projection of the Glasscheibe*; work as a manuscript – ‘Public Transcendence (phantorama)’ this weekend from the 28th to 30th January between 6pm-3am by David Helán.

David Helán (1979) is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and completed scholarships stays in the Cooper Union New York and Middlesex University, London. His work deals with interventions to the public space in very unique personal style whilst transforming its conceptual aspects into fine art video and photography.

Phantorama; A low lighting as a retro tool relating to classic action documented by black and white photography; 2. A parasitic act of denial of life-giving light of the artefact of the professional rival; 3. A result of mechanically obsessive chase to find meaning, resemblance of public transcendence, wakeful sleeplessness as called in vernacular; 4. An educational tool of gradual power seizure over a cadre of unplanned events.

* Glasscheibe, Galerie Petra Vankova is a cyclus of projections on 3.2 m2 window of the gallery between 6pm-3am.
